Overview
Individual contributors in the instructional design field are responsible for creating learning materials and resources for classes, programs, and initiatives. Materials may be print or digital, and these designers understand how learning theory affects lesson creation for modality or channel through which the learning will be delivered. Instructional designers often use data from needs assessments and input from subject matter experts to design their learning materials. They develop scripts and storyboards, research technology enhancements, and support accessibility in the design of their courses and resources.
